The newest member of the town twinning is “Neustadt im Burzenland” – today: Cristian. The currently southernmost community of the consortium is in Transylvania in Romania. For ten years, the municipality has been trying to become a member of the town association, reported Hans Schreyegg. "It's beautiful," said the honorary chairman. The accession has been official since the corona-related online meeting of the mayors in summer 2020, in which he took part as well as that of the coordination committee a week earlier. The list of members thus shows 37 new towns in eight Central European countries.
